MBABANE – The Mbabane Municipal Council has sponsored Junior Achievement trainings to help boost Mbabane youth.
At least 17 youth businesses from Mbabane got a chance to present their business plans in front of the judges, in an event that took place at Mbabane Municipal Council yesterday. It has been gathered that the judges were from Industrial Development Company of Eswatini (IDCE), Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP), Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF) and Eswatini Bank.
JA Communications Officer Siphesihle Mkhonta said the above financial institutions were there to share information about their services that would be of help to these businesses.
“These financial institutions were also analysing the presented business ideas to find out whether they qualify for their services or not. They were also assisting them to adjust their business plans so that they are to the standard where they can access the services provided by these financial institutions. We are so much grateful these institutions for ensuring that finances are available for the youth,” she said.
Mkhonta also expressed gratitude on behalf of JA to the Council for the consistent support saying that it has produced a lot of businesses within the boundaries of Mbabane town which fulfills requirement of the council.
Winile Dlamini from the Municipal Council appreciated JA and the mentor Nathi Gule for seeing to it that the participants remain committed and that they finish their trainings.
