MBABANE: Founder and CEO of Top Models, Mbalehle Manana, has been invited to the Global Changemakers Summit and Award 2024 in Bankkok, Thailand.
Manana shared with this publication that she received a letter inviting her to the summit from Project 100, which will be held this week. Manana received the invitation on Tuesday last week.
Part of the letter read, “It is with great pleasure that we extend an invitation to you for the upcoming Global Changemakers Summit and Awards 2024. The summit aims to bring together passionate individuals who have demonstrated expectations and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities and beyond. We believe that your contribution and dedication align with the spirit of the summit.”
When asked if she would make it to the summit this week, she said she really wants to go as she has worked hard to get this type of recognition. “I went to meet the Minister of Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Bongani Nzima, to ask for sponsorship for the trip. He agreed and asked me to speak to submit the invitation letter to Arts and Culture CEO Stanley Dlamini last Thursday. Right now, I’m trying to sort out my international passport to make the trip possible.
According to Manana, she is in constant touch with the team, as they need passport details for the flight tickets to make the trip possible.
The summit provides a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and recognition of outstanding efforts in various fields related to possible social change. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, share experiences, and foster collaborations that can further amplify the impact of their work.
The invitation letter was signed by Dr. S. N. Pathan, who is the project president, and Dr. Arun Sawant, vice president of Project 100.
