MHLAMBANYATSI – Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga says the establishment of a rugby and volleyball club at Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla is testament to the impact of the Ministry’s Shukuma Eswatini programme. The two clubs were launched at the Shukuma Eswatini activation held at Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla on Saturday.

Speaking during the launch, Minister Bulunga said, “This is one of the main goals of Shukuma- ensuring that the impact goes beyond a singular activation and a lasting, positive impact is made on communities. This, ultimately, will ensure that we widen the sporting talent pool in Eswatini and expose more emaSwati to sport.”

“Shukuma Eswatini continues to grow and its impact is seen across the country as more and more emaSwati take up regular exercise and sporting clubs are launched as a result of our activations at various Tinkhundla,” added Minister Bulunga.

The activation was attended by Mhlambanyatsi MP, Speaker Petros Mavimbela, various other MPs and hundreds of residents of Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla and also saw a cultural competition. Various sporting codes made demonstrations including athletics, volleyball, netball, boxing, teqball, cue sports and darts, among others.
