MINISTER ‘BUY CASH’ LAUNCHES E33 MILLION WATER PROJECT

MPOLONJENI – Acting Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza has today launched a E33 million water project to help the constituencies of Mpolonjeni and Lugongolweni.

The minister launched the project today at Mpolonjeni, together with development partners like World Vision and the Eswatini Water Services Corporation. The project is aimed at bringing clean water to about 25 000 citizens under the two constituencies.

Speaking at the constituency today, Mabuza, who is also a Member of Parliamenr of Piggs Peak, cited that the project largely depended on cooperation between the stakeholders from development partners to the community members.

“This scheme will cover the whole constituency, so that people can get help with water. This work benefits 3230 households. Additionally, this project benefits 18 affected schools under the two constituencies. It also benefits 53 churches, as well as the constituency centre and police post in the area,” said the minister.

“We praise the collaboration between development partners and ministries including Health, Tinkhundla, and Natural Resources among others. There was a lot of cooperation as we were working and we commend that (sic),” added the minister.

Mabuza further urged the community to take care of the project so that it sustains for a long time to come.
