MBABANE- “I am proud to see this publication grow.”

These words were said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Thuli Dladla, today, where she was meeting with the Eswatini Positive News (EPN) staff at the Inter-Ministerial Offices in Mbabane.

The minister had met the nine staff members of the online publication, where she was sensitising them- elaborating on the importance of positive reporting.

“I am really inspired to see the team grow because I know it was not very easy when they started and they will live to tell the story.

“I love to see determination and effort and seeing the team grow- playing a part in eradicating unemployment among the youth,” said Dladla.

The minister went on to encourage EPN staff, saying bringing out the best of Eswatini to the public is what the country needed.

“Eswatini is one of the best countries in the world and we have to showcase it. We have not done justice in showcasing ourselves,” said Dladla.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation also said EPN would be a great platform to portray the identity of emaSwati.

“I want to applaud the Directors of the company for playing a part in eradicating unemployment by employing the youth. This is the only country that we have and let us protect it by contributing positively- making an impact,” she said.

EPN Director Mbongeni Ndlela thanked the minister for sensitising his team, stating that the stuff now grew to 10 members, from the initial three, when the company started last year.

“We have a lot of interesting programmes lined-up. Currently, we are working on a podcast set-up, where emaSwati will make their positive testimonials” said Ndlela.

The Director went on to say that EPN was hoping to achieve more in future, with support from the government.
