MBABANE– The Republic of China (Taiwan) has made another act of kindness!
The Eswatini partners have donated a car to the country’s Diplomatic Police and the handover was done earlier today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Thuli Dladla and Taiwan Ambassador to Eswatini His Excellency Jeremy Liang today in Mbabane.
Also present during the handover was National Commissioner of Police Tsintsibala Dlamini and the House of Parliament Portfolio Committee Chairperson, Member of Parliament Sibusiso Nxumalo.
Minister Thuli Dladla said it was an honour and privilege for her to be a part of this gathering once more to express her heartfelt gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their generous donation of a vehicle for use by the Kingdoms’ Diplomatic Police.
“This donation from the Taiwanese people represents a symbol of unity and serves to reaffirm the importance of our bilateral relations. It is an open secret how fortunate and privileged we are as a nation to have the support of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and we all know how much we have benefited in terms of development over the years, from our Taiwanese friends.
“The Taiwanese people have made numerous donations and contributions in a variety of fields. Our friendship spans education, agriculture, health, commerce, and many other fields that we have witnessed develop over time. Our diplomatic ties extend beyond officialdom to people-to-people interactions, and this act of kindness paves the way for a stronger relationship between the Kingdom and Taiwan,” said the minister.
Donated was Toyota GD6 double cab worth approximately E702 000.
