MBABANE – Stakeholders within the cooperative sector have convene for a workshop aimed at fostering cooperative development.
The initiative is spearheaded by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo and is already taking place at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha, having commenced yesterday (15 May 2024).
The primary objective of this workshop is to provide opportunity for stakeholders in the cooperative sector to come together and engage in substantive discussions as highlighted by the Ministry. It is their belief that the collaboration and knowledge –sharing are key to fostering a thriving cooperative ecosystem.
Throughout the event, participants will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts, Government officials and fellow cooperative enthusiasts. The agenda encompasses various topics such as strategies to enhance cooperative development and address challenges in the sector will be covered.
Additionally, best practices for cooperative growth, access to funding and financial management strengthen governance and leadership within cooperatives and Innovations in cooperative marketing brand approaches will be discussed.
