MBABANE – The Ministry of Education has announced that the Ministry will be holding a consultative dialogue in September. The summit will involve consulting with all the different stakeholders in the education system in country.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Director Ntombenhle said “we have a mandate as the Ministry to consult to find out how education is going and how it can be improved so that it satisfies our strategy for education as a country. We are on a campaign these days to visit all stakeholders in the country, especially the youth who will inherit the country. We’re speaking with the youth and different organisations to get ideas on how we can improve education so that it is in line with achieving the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) for 2030 – especially goal number 4.”

“When we met as UN member states last, we discovered that most countries are not doing well, and are far from meeting the SDG for education. This is why in September, heads of states, including our head of state, will meet to present ideas on how they plan to improve education in the countries,” added Director Dlamini.
