MBABANE – Everyone is privy to knowledge on cybersecurity!
As part of the Cybersecurity Awareness Month this November, the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) is offering a free course to the public.
Known at Introduction to Cybersecurity (Cyber Intro 101), the course will be offered from November 17, 2022 until November 29, 2022.
The completion duration of the course is 15 hours, which the public may complete in the said dates or shorter, depending on their speed.
Revealing this information today was Acting Director Communications under the Ministry of ICT Sakhile Dlamini, who said the public was allowed to register and study for free.
“The course does not require any certificate or qualification. Anyone is allowed to register and it is for free,” said Dlamini.
When asked how the course would be taught, Dlamini said the speed of students would determine their completion time as the curse was 15 hours.
“People who complete the course will be given a badge of completion. We encourage emaSwati to register for the course as it will equip them with the basics of cyber security,” said Dlamini.
The Ministry of ICT is offering the course in collaboration with Eswatini Institute of Management and Public Administration (SIMPA).
