The new energy brand, Mitra Energy Eswatini, has set social media and the streets abuzz, with anticipation of its open dates. So far, the company has made its progress public, and has been seen taking its branding very serious. Already, they have publicised their near-finish branded filling station, uniforms, trucks, and have even started putting their products on the shelves.

Gule stated that Mitra Energy Eswatini spotted a gap between the product and the customer in the rural community.

“We, therefore, felt encouraged to close that gap by taking the product to emaSwati in the rural areas. We wanted to take the product to the people. The continuous shortage of fuel in the country during a certain period inspired Mitra Energy Eswatini to be born. Also, we didn’t have a local brand, a proudly Eswatini brand so we felt we need to come up with our very own,” Gule explained how Mitra Energy Eswatini came into existence.

The Sales and Marketing Manager further highlighted that though there were other relevant franchises, they were planning on being a stand-alone.

“We know our local needs and make decisions in our very own head offices, located in Manzini, in terms of granting credit facilitation,” said Gule.

When asked when emaSwati would expect their fuel stations to be open, Gule responded saying they were anticipating commissioning the two filling stations (Buhleni and Manzini) before this month-end (January 2023).

“We are currently wholesaling diesel 50ppm, petrol ulp, handi gas IP, illuminating paraffin, automotive lubricants, fuel transportation/logistics, secure truck stop/parking facility, filling service stations, and fuel storage,” Gule revealed the company’s current activities.

In closing, the Sales and Marketing Manager said they were looking forward to more filling stations being built which they had already obtained the trading license for more than seven other filling stations from ESERA (Eswatini Energy Regulation Authority).

“Our main focus is taking the product to the people in rural areas and assisting in developing those projects,” said Gule.
