PIGG’S PEAK – Renowned South African artist Mlindo the Vocalist and actors Sbu and Calvinator have confirmed their attendance for the upcoming Limuva Art and Festival after party on June 22, 2024.
The after party is scheduled to take place at Zhumiao Lounge and Lifestyle Centre (kaNgubs). The launch of this event will be a homecoming for the festival’s Founder and Director, M Nation. He plans to visit his hometown of eMgubudzi at a soup kitchen for his pre-launch event in honour of his song, ‘Limuva Lam,’ which narrates his background and history.
Mlindo the Vocalist, born Lindokuhle Mgedeza, is a SA singer and songwriter. He gained popularity following his debut song titled, Amablesser. Sbu and Calvinator are well known actors from the famous SA soapie, Uzalo which airs on weekdays on SABC 1 at 8:30pm.
Born Wandile Ndlovu, M Nation shared with this publication that he wants to remind people of their backgrounds and history so they do not forget. He said, “On the day of the launch, we will start with a pre-launch party in my hometown of eMgubudzi from 10am to 3pm. Later, the launch will move to Zhumiao Lounge, where we will host a formal dinner from 5pm to 7pm. After the dinner, we will be joined by renowned and local artists for thrilling performances for the after party.”
The exciting event will be hosted by local comedy duo Gogo and Slwane, who are sure to keep the audience in stitches with their hilarious jokes and banter.
The artists confirmed through videos uploaded to the Zhumiao Facebook page. This exciting revelation has sent anticipation skyrocketing for the event, as fans eagerly wait to catch a glimpse of their favourite artists in action at one of the most beloved venues.
The videos received an overwhelmingly positive response, with fans expressing their excitement at the prospect of attending the event. One of the comments from Sphesiso Sphesiso read, “I’m coming back home. I can’t miss this one.” There was widespread sharing of the posts, demonstrating a buzz.
Tickets are still available for purchase, as presale general is E70 and general at the gate will be E100. VIP tickets cost E150, and at the gate, it will be E200.
