MBABANE – Members of Parliament (MPs), on Saturday donated E9 000 towards groceries of elderly people of Msunduza Chiefdom under Mbabane East Constituency.
It was a happy day for the 12 elderly people who were selected by the Legislators, as they returned home without worrying much about the source of their next meal.

This happened during the Thanksgiving Ceremony of Mbabane East MP Welcome Dlamini, which was held at SAGM (KaBoyce) Primary School yesterday.

MPs Wilton Nkambule (Motshane), Alec Lushaba (Hhukwini), Hope Shiba (Nkhaba), and David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala (Sigwe) are the ones who splashed the cash, bringing happiness to the senior citizens and the residents of Mbabane East.

MP Nkambule donated pledged E5 000 towards five elderly women. From the E5 000, E1 000 would be donated towards groceries of one woman.

However, while the five women were chosen, a sixth one forcefully joined. While the Msunduza Community Police tried to stop this senior citizen, Nkambule pleaded with them to allow her to join, as the Lawmaker believed he was chosen by the Lord. This means he had to part with E6 000.

Seeing that elderly men had not been chosen, MPs Lushaba, Ngcamphalala, and Shiba pledged E3 000 to cover groceries for the six elderly men under Mbabane East. It was a day to remember for many other residents, as they got gifts from all of the Legislators who attended the event.

The MPs would now and again, give offerings mainly to the elderly people, as the event progressed. They also gave money to the recently-formed Mbabane Choir, which also gave soothing choral songs, which brought happiness to the attendants.
Certain soccer teams under Mbabane East also got soccer kits. Certain churches under the same place also got certain gifts such as church gear.
