MTHOKOZISI DLAMINI IS NEW CHIEF IMMIGRATIONS OFFICER

MBABANE – The Ministry of Home Affairs has a new Chief Immigrations Officer in former Manzini Magistrate Mthokozisi Dlamini.

Dlamini was unveiled by Ministry of Home Affairs Principal Secretary (PS) Nhlanhla Nxumalo today. According to information sourced from the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Facebook page, Dlamini replaces former Chief Immigrations Officer Makhosi Simelane.

Simelane was promoted to be Under Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development last year. During a formal introduction to the Heads of Departments, the PS warmly welcomed Dlamini and emphasiSed the importance of understanding the challenges and successes faced by each department.

“At Home Affairs, we work together as a family and remain united,” Nxumalo affirmed. Additionally, he encouraged the new Chief Immigration Officer to hold regular departmental meetings, enabling him to have a comprehensive understanding of the department’s mandate before attending Heads of Departments meetings.

The appointment of Dlamini was well-received by senior officials in the immigration department, who extended a warm welcome to him. The Chief Immigration Officer expressed his gratitude for the reception he received from his colleagues and emphasized his commitment to the role.

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead the immigration department,” said Dlamini. “I will work diligently to uphold the values of the department and contribute to its continued success.” Dlamini’s appointment comes at a time of increased focus on immigration policies and procedures. The Ministry of Home Affairs plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and efficient management of immigration matters in the country.
