MARLKENS – The MTN Bush Fire festival once again proved why it deserves to be among CNN’s top 10 Music Festivals to see in the world. The 2022 edition of the arts and culture festival ended with blazing performances from the last acts of the festival.

Festival goers were thrilled by the smooth sounds of Sumthn Brown in the morning, and taken on a musical journey that ended at 9PM by Eswatini’s number one musical export, Bholoja.

The Ballantine’s Firefly stage also continued to give fun lovers the best that the Kingdom has to offer. The first act on the Firefly stage was Simion Lord from Great Britain, who delivered a tantalising set that appropriately warmed up the audience for the rest of the day. The Firefly stage featured performances from DJ’s and artists, capping the night off with an undeniable set from “the tallest DJ Eswatini”, Speech Umlangeni.

Closing off the event before the final performance, House on Fire Director Jiggs Thorne took a moment to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making the Bush Fire Festival what it is. We are would like to thank the community of Lobamba Lomdzala, which is the community we are in. We have been able to make sure that this event benefits us all,” said Thorne.
He also thanked his many teams, the artists, and the festival goers for making this festival one of the best in the world. “I have never seen a Bush Fire like this”, added Thorne to underscore the level of investment from partners and sponsors that introduced new elements to MTN Bush Fire this year.

The dates for the 16th edition of the MTN Bush Fire festival has already been announced to be from the 26th to the 28th of May 2022.
