EZULWINI – MTN hosted an ICT Smart Seminar at the Royal Villas today, with industry leaders from a variety of sectors in attendance.

The theme of the seminar was “Accelerating Digital Transformation: Enterprise and Emerging Technologies,” and the event explored how to navigate the digital landscape and take advantage of the latest technologies. The goal of the seminar was to provide valuable insights and practical advice to help businesses thrive in the modern world.

MTN Eswatini CEO Wandile Mtshali in the seminar stated that the company’s belief in the importance of ICT technology and its potential to drive business growth was the driving force behind the seminar. He noted that MTN’s aim through MTN Business was to create a platform for knowledge sharing and best practice exchange, to help businesses thrive and grow in the ever-changing digital landscape.  Mtshali emphasised that MTN was committed to supporting businesses in their digital transformation journey.

Mtshali outlined MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on five key growth platforms: fintech solutions, digital solutions, centre of excellence, network as a service (Naas), and the API marketplace. These platforms are supported by MTN’s extensive national and metro fibre network, which spans over 100 000km across Africa.  The company operates 47 data centres for hosting and commercial colocation, providing a robust and reliable infrastructure for businesses. He emphasized that MTN’s network In Africa.

He stated that the company is relying on its speakers to share their expertise and knowledge, in order to help businesses in Eswatini navigate the complex and ever-changing market landscape, and ultimately create value for their customers through greater efficiency and innovation. He emphasized the importance of such sessions in accelerating the digital transformation of businesses in the country.

He went on to say that MTN also has the largest multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) infrastructure in Africa, further positioning the company as a leader in digital transformation. The company’s commitment to the digital agenda extends beyond businesses, with initiatives such as its ESG agenda, which seeks to empower youth, women, and girls with digital skills.  Mtshali noted that MTN’s partnerships with development agencies are key to driving this agenda forward.
