Local musician, and artist known for his hit love song “Baby buya sitsandzane” survived an accident at Malagwane Hill. Judah’s fans flooded his social media page on Facebook thanking God for the artist’s survival and also words of encouragement to the artist as he recuperates.

Eswatini Positive News went to check on Judah and found he had just come out of surgery for a dislocated jaw, broken rib and a dislocated arm but was more than welcoming for a quick chat with us at the government hospital in Mbabane.

EPN: Judah what caused the accident?

  • “I would say it was caused by fatigue and fatigue is a real thing. I know Steve Harvey says you have 24hours in a day, you can’t be sleeping but I have a different opinion. You have to know when to work hard and when to rest. The balance of the two is very important because failure to do so can end up leaving you with the consequences.”

EPN: In retrospect, how do you think this has changed your life?

  • “I have learnt that God loves me and has given me another chance to live my life better. I have been working too hard and not listening to my body’s call for rest. I am more aware now and I will try not to put such a heavy strain on myself”.

EPN: Do you have a message you want to share with your fans?

  • “When you follow your passion make sure not to overstretch yourself in the process”.

EPN: What can you advise can you give to your fellow artist about fatigue?

  • “Fatigue comes into place when you do not delegate. You should always remember you are one person, you cannot do everything yourself. Always have a team for delegation or have others help you. It is good to be hands on but also get people to do other things for you to minimize the fatigue. Also, give yourself enough time to rest”.

A number of local artists known to this publication have been reported to be suffering from fatigue due to the pressure of the arts. Anyone can get fatigue according to www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au so it is important to realise what fatigue is and what it does to a person.

If you are always feeling tired all the time, low in energy and a strong desire to sleep that interferes with normal daily activities that spells fatigue. Fatigue is a known risk factor in motor vehicle and workplace accidents and is caused by factors working in combination such as stress, workplace problems, medical conditions and also an unhealthy lifestyle. You need to make sure you see a doctor if your suffering from chronic tiredness.
