MBABANE – Local artist Mvelo Lindelwa Tsabedze today dropped her latest single titled ‘No Words’.
The song was produced by local producer Slotta, who was recently crowned Best Music Producer at the recent Eswatini Creators Awards.
Mvelo (25) is from Mahwalala in Mbabane. She is signed under New Life Entertainment, manned by Thembinkosi Mthethwa.
When reached for comment, she shared the inspiration behind the song. “The song is about showing someone that you love them without using words. I loved someone and I could not tell, but I could only show,” Mvelo said.
Asked when she fell in love with music, she said: “I believe I was four years old. I started to sing as soon as I could talk. My grandma contributed greatly to my love for music. We used to listen to Dolly Parton together.”
According to the artist, she would love to work with Black Coffee, Sun-el-Musician, and! Sooks in the future. She also shared that her favourite artists are Velemiseni and Dolly Parton.
Mvelo advised aspiring artists that everything takes time and they should enjoy every moment. She further advised them not to rush and they should not compare.
Last December, Mvelo shared the stage with South African giant artist Sjava during the latter’s show in Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, South Africa and it was dubbed Sjava: Live in Mbombela. Sjava is an award-winning, multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter.
Mvelo kicked off her career in 2018 as the other half and lead vocalist of Tribe New. The natural-born superstar identifies her sound as jazz and house-influenced. In 2019, Mvelo went solo as an artist, and she also made it to the top seven of the singing competition, MTN Spotlight Season 1.
She proceeds to sing her way to her intended life and aims to one day be one of the best globally.
Mvelo has heavy influences in Jazz, Neosoul, RnB, and Pop music. She is a multifaceted songstress, ready to deliver at a whim. Never one to hold back or be shy, basking in her strong vocals and presence leaves you in awe of just how much talent one person can have. She has also performed at this year’s Standard Bank Luju, Lifestyle Festival, Makoti Festival, and many more events.
