MALKERNS– Award-winning rapper and vocalist Stogie T revealed during his performance in the country that his late father is actually buried in Eswatini.
This was revealed during his MTN Bushfire main stage performance yesterday night. This was the first time Stogie T performed in the country and afforded himself the chance to take his fans on a musical journey.
“You know man being here today is surprisingly great, I did not know what to expect but I’m happy to be here, this country is a peaceful one man,” he said.
He further went on to say that he was expecting a different crowd but was amazingly surprised with the warmth he received in Eswatini.
Stogie T formerly known as Tumi and the volume took festival goers on a nostalgia journey when he performed his old hits. Accompanied by his band and vocalist Lucille he delivered a jazzy hip-hop concert.
Clad in all black and accessorised with his wedding ring, Stogie T took time to appreciate his band. He thanked each one of them and further gave them an individual shout-out.
“I love what I do, and I would not call myself an OG but if there are people who look up to me I would not really approve of that because I’m human outside my craft and prone to mistakes,” he said.
He further congratulated the country on their Eswatini Air by jokingly mentioning he had to drive to Eswatini.
