MBABANE – The Bishop John Nash Shongwe Foundation has received E10 000 from Precious Beauty Parlor in Manzini on Tuesday, the donation is intended to contribute to hosting a party for vulnerable children on December 27.
According to Shongwe, the Foundation asserted its dedication to supporting the most vulnerable members of society and disclosed that it had already expended over E2 million on various initiatives.
The E10,000 donation received by the foundation is slated to be used for hosting a thanksgiving ceremony scheduled for December at the Divine Healing Ministries Auditorium.
Bishop Shongwe expressed his gratitude for the contribution. He spoke on its importance in their mission to assist the elderly, orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs), and individuals with disabilities.
“My pursuit is to preach to the vulnerable members of society, who include the elderly, orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) and those with disabilities,” Shongwe said.
Shongwe stated that the foundation was established in response to the challenges brought about by COVID-19 in 2021, the foundation operates with an inclusive vision that does not discriminate based on religious affiliations.
Bishop Shongwe spoke on their commitment to helping individuals with diverse needs, with over 400 000 beneficiaries assisted to date, including initiatives such as housing construction.
Khazimula Nhlabatsi, echoing the sentiments of gratitude, revealed that the foundation has, over the years, spent E2 million on various initiatives.
One of the noteworthy initiatives the foundation has done was paying school fees for 23 children, paying E30 000 in school fees.
