LOBAMBA- Members of the public and invited guests applauded the His Majesty King Mswati the III on keeping time and leading a fast event.
Interviewed members of the public said they had not expected the King to deliver his Speech from the throne as early as 11:30 am.
Worth noting is that the King took to the podium at around 11:26 after being introduced by Senate President Lindiwe Dlamini.
“The King really surprised me today, when he spoke I could not believe it was this early and this was one positive thing that stood out for me today,” said one member.
Another member of the public said the King’s prompt proceedings were really admirable because they had left their homes to see the King.
“Look today was really great, I was happy to see how swift the King was it is almost like he wanted things to work out fast and smooth,” said another member of the public.
The State opening of the 5th Session of the 11th Parliament went according to plan and smoothly as there were Members of Parliament (MP) and Diplomats. Over a thousand emaSwati braced the rains today for the opening of the fifth session of the 11th Parliament opening held at Lobamba.
