MBABANE – A number of people have revealed that they are ready for the Epic Gig.

Interviewed members of the public said they were looking forward to the all-weekend festival.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Thuli Phongolo, I’m already amped up for the weekend,” said Sibahle Magagula.

Another fun lover said they were looking forward to numerous stalls that will be at the event.

“I’m going to be there for food and stalls. Yes there are performers I would want to see but mostly food and just fun,” said Bahle Dlamini.

Worth noting is that this year the fourth edition of The Epic Gig will last for more than the normal two days in previous years. This year the festival is slated for June 30-July 2 at Mavuso Trade Centre in Manzini.

The news was confirmed by festival Director Tammy Dlamini from Toxic Entertainment in January when announcing the event.

He said, this year will be bigger and better, it will not be anything like the previous festivals.

“This one will be a full festival. We have the business side of it, stalls and of course performances for three days,” he said.

Artists to perform during the festival include Blackie, Thuli Phongo, Kwesta and Nasty C. and many others.

Last year’s festival was held at Malkerns Country Club on June 25-26.

In a previous interview, Dlamini shared that back in 2017 in June, he had a brainwave about hosting a show that would not only bring big names into the country, but he wanted it to be different and the line-up to be too good to be true, hence, the name ‘Epic’ was born. The logo has not changed since the original concept five years ago. His dream was to bring Kwesta to the country. The Epic IV Gig poster that was released in January
