NCAMISO MHLANGA IS NEW ESWASA DIRECTOR

MBABANE – Minister for Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo has unveiled Ncamiso Keith Mhlanga as new executive director for Eswatini Standards Authority (ESWASA).

Mhlanga is former WaterAid Country Director and he was unveiled today at ESWASA offices in Matsapha. Mhlanga holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Water Resources Management from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from the University of Eswatini (UNESWA).

Ministe Khumalo described Mhlanga as an experienced, value-driven, and goal-oriented executive leader, with a remarkable track record spanning over 16 years. He said throughout his career, Mhlanga demonstrated exceptional expertise in various sectors, including water resources management, water supply and sanitation, agriculture and livelihoods, environment, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation.

Khumalo said for the past seven years, Mhlanga served as the Country Director for an international organisation known as WaterAid, where he made significant contributions to increasing access to clean water for many Emaswati. His exceptional resource mobilisation skills have resulted in the generation of over E200 million in investment projects that have been successfully implemented across the country, accoding to the minister.

According to the minister, Mhlanga has also garnered extensive experience in working with multilateral international donors, including the private sector. He said he expected transformative leadership.

“As Mhlanga takes the helm as the new Executive Director, we can expect his transformative leadership, policy-making expertise, and strategic acumen to further elevate SWASA’s standing, both nationally and internationally. His wealth of experience, coupled with his passion for community development and his visionary perspective, will undoubtedly steer SWASA towards new heights,” Khumalo said.
