MANZINI – Laughter meets music!

Local comedian Ndosh WebeNgunee has been unveiled as this year’s host of the fifth edition of the House Musiq Festival, set for Saturday at Manzini Club.

Ndosh WebeNgunee, born Mfundo Simelane, has been nominated three times as Comedian Nominee of the Year and four times as M.C. of the Year nominee. He has won multiple comedy competitions. He has opened the stage for global touring comedians, including Felix Hlophe, David Kau, Skhumba, Mathew Bozza, and TT Phasha, just to mention a few.

The latest development was confirmed by Swazi Boy Public Relations Officer PRO Nokwanda Sibandze. She said: “Yes, he is our MC this year, making a comeback after last year. We decided to bring him back because he was a fan favourite.”

When asked how far along the preparations for Saturday were, she said: “We are almost there. As we speak, the team is working on the final activities that need to be done before setting up the stage, and we are excited. The weather is promising to be bright and sunny. We are 75 per cent ready to welcome people to the venue. We urge people to continue buying their tickets and prepare their outfits because the biggest house Musiq festival is around the corner, and we cannot wait to host everyone who will join us!”

Gates will open at 11am. With only two days left until the fifth edition of the House Musiq Fest, more activities and exciting stalls have been added this year to cater to patrons. 

This year, music lovers can expect more than the music at the HMF. They have included other exciting activities and stalls that will allow everyone to have an unforgettable experience at the festival. This includes the art centre, food stalls, accessory stalls, the Health Corner, financial and insurance services, a games room, and a beer garden.

The line-up of the festival includes South African legendary house DJ Vinny da Vinci, Artwork Sound lAce4nic, Cece & Mthizo,DJ Benny,Ndumz DJ,Soul Freakah, !Sooks, Monique Bingham, Fantacy, Ras Ned Music, Fizz & Shai-A, Crooks, and many more.

Recently, the festival signed a partnership with Trace. This is an airtime-based partnership where the ads will be played on two of their channels, Trace Southern Africa and Trace Urban. The second part is that the festival will be aired on these channels. The channel will also cover the entire event. Tickets are still available at Computicket at all Shoprite stores nationwide.
