NDZANGU HIGH SCHOOL REIGNS IN THE LUBOMBO REGION

SIMUNYE – Ndzangu High School came from two goals down to claim a 4-2 victory over Lomahasha High School to be crowned the champions of the Lubombo Region in the Instacash School’s Soccer Tournament.

This was a Lubombo Regional final match that was played at the Goshe Szokolay Memorial in Simunye today (Thursday, June 6, 2024).

In the Lubombo region’s semi-finals, Ndzangu High School emerged victorious after defeating Big Bend High school 2-1 in the second semi-final match in the Lubombo Region in a closely contested match. Lomahasha High School, on the other hand, displayed their expertise and determination by defeating Mpaka High School 2-0, to book a spot in the finals.

The Siteki Top Branch Champions have guaranteed themselves a spot in the tournament’s national semi-finals with the date and venue yet to be announced, where they will battle against a Shiselweni based school.

Tomorrow (Friday, June 7, 2024), the King Sobhuza II Stadium in Nhlangano will be hosting the Shiselweni Regional semi-finals of the tournament. In the first semi-final match, Nkwene High School will take on Evelyn Baring High School at 9am, while Ntshanini High School will clash against Hluthi Central High School at 11am in the second semi-final match. The battle for the coveted title will take place at 2pm between both semi-final winners in the finals, to crown the champions of the region, which will later represent them in the national semi-finals.
