EZULWINI– National Emergency Response Council on HIV (NERCHA) National Executive Director (NED) Khanya Mabuza has endorsed and praised Eswatini Positive News (EPN) publication.
This happened at Ezulwini Happy Valley Hotel, during the Quarterly Media Forum.
Media houses including Eswatini Positive News, Times of Eswatini, and Eswatini Television among others were praised for always making sure information about HIV/AIDS is sent out accurately.
Mabuza, through NERCHA’s Head of Communications Siphesihle Nkwanyana, said sometimes it feels like the world is filled with just doom and gloom.
She said they were happy to learn there is a whole publication whose main focus is to spread the positive and good news.
“It is wonderful we have Eswatini Positive News platform- when you are feeling burdened by bad news, it is important to remember that there is a lot of good in the world, and we are glad to learn there is a publication that does that,” she said.
In addition to that, NERCHA NED Mabuza said fortunately, there were positive news sources here to help remind people of all the good happening behind the scenes in the country.
He made an example that everyone must remember how it felt to get bad news during the peak of COVID-19 and the flow of effects it can have on physical and mental well-being.
Mabuza further thanked all the media houses in the country for always accurately reporting on HIV stories and information.
He said the media houses have been helpful in making sure that the rightful information is published.
We are also living in a time where trusted sources are the media, and where there is a lot of negativity going around, so we are pleased we can now use this reliable platform to spread positivity,” he said.
