MBABANE– The Government of Eswatini continues to put the country’s interest at heart.
This comes after the Royal Eswatini Police Service trained 33 Police officers who were drawn across the broad spectrum of the Police formations.
The officers were doing a Basic Traffic Management Course which lasted for 12 weeks. It was held at Matsapha Police Academy.
The Course consisted of basic principles of Traffic Management, road traffic accident prevention and investigation techniques, accident scene management and
Human Rights.
Meanwhile, representing the National Commissioner (NATCOM) was Deputy Natcom Preeman Mdluli, who congratulated the course participants for making it this far and further encouraged them to continue serving the Nation with honesty, empathy, and loyalty.
Mdluli said it gave them hope and faith that the country was now in good hands because the officers have dedicated themselves to serving the country.
“As part of the basic training program in police traffic services intended to establish a national standard, the student study guide was developed to serve,” he said.
In addition, when explaining what traffic management meant, he said traffic management (also known as road traffic control) refers to the act of directing vehicles and pedestrians around some form of disruption.
Mdluli said this could be a construction site, accident, community event, tree removal, road surfacing, traffic congestion, or anything else that could cause danger or disruption to a vehicle or pedestrian.
“By successfully managing traffic safely and efficiently, the chances of vehicles crashing into each other can be significantly decreased, as well as various other safety benefits. Many traffic management solutions can be deployed on Eswatini roads,”
