MBABANE– Diba Diba is back in the music industry and already reclaiming his throne as the king of vernacular Hip Hop.
Diba Diba, real name Banele Dlamini is set to release his first single ‘Monate’ for his upcoming project titled ‘Macansi’.
The single will be released this Thursday.
During an interview with this reporter, Dlamini revealed that ‘Monate’ was a reminder that Black is King.
“‘Monate’ is about empowering black excellence. It is about being comfortable in your own skin. It is a reminder to black people that they are worth it and they do not need to seek any validation from any race that is deemed ‘superior’. It is a reminder that ‘Black is King’,” said Dlamini.
Dlamini further mentioned that the track was produced by Aos at Lifetime Music.
“I am solo in this particular track which was produced by Aos at Lifetime Music. The track was inspired by noticing the fact that as black people or Africans in general we are capable of doing so much for ourselves. We are kings and queens enough and we need not to seek validation from external forces,” said Dlamini.
The artist further mentioned his future plans with this reporter.
“My plan is to continue touring Eswatini, reconnect with my fans and take my music to the world. I am focusing all my energy on my upcoming project ‘Macansi’, which I hope to complete by the end of this year. Otherwise, I will be releasing more music, more videos and entertaining people through my art,” said Dlamini.
