The Metro FM Music Awards (MMA’s) exist to recognize accomplishments in the South African recording industry, by honouring and celebrating those groups and individuals who have excelled in the relevant entry or qualifying period.

Over a month ago, we published that Dlamini had collaborated with internationally renowned DJ Murder Bongz, who now goes by the name Morda.

Morda came to fame while with Black Motion, a house music duo which has scooped multiple awards. Famously known as Murda Bongz, Morda’s birth name is Bongani Mahosana and he was born in June 2, 1987.

Nhlonipho and Morda collaborated on a song titled ‘Woza Sambe’, which is Morda’s new solo album titled ‘Asante’, dedicated to his daughter and DJ Zinhle.

Nhlonipho is the vocalist in the song and Morda, as per the norm, is behind the beats. Morda also features big names in his album including Nkosazana Daughter, Brenden Praise and others in his album.

When sought for comment, Nhlonipho confirmed the collaboration, stating that he wrote the song, hence the siSwati title ‘Woza Sambe’. “It is a love song where I am actually telling my woman that her love causes butterflies in my stomach. It is a song that anyone can relate to,” commented Dlamini.
