LOBAMBA – His Majesty King Mswati III says no Liswati should die from lack of proper health services.
This should be guaranteed in the 2024/25 Financial Year, the King ordered.
Delivering His speech from the Throne in Parliament today, the King said Eswatini’sultimate goal is to strengthen the health sector and provide specialized medical care locally.
“We urge government to expedite the commencement of the process of mobilizing resources for the construction of the referral hospital as promised by the friends of the kingdom,” he said.
On well-being and HIV/AIDS, the King expressed gratitude for the remarkable progress in Eswatini’s health sector. He said this was directed to all esteemed stakeholders, including dedicated government officials, civil society, the private sector, and valued development partners.
The King said health care needed the support of housing welfare for Emaswati; hence the need to invest in reviving the urban and rural housing schemes for the benefit of needy people.
“These will complement the ongoing development of our towns across the country,” said the King.
