When asked what about her role as the runner up, Mamba said, “As the runner up in Miss Culture International, representing Eswatini, my new role involves promoting Eswatini’s culture, traditions, and values both locally and internationally.” She said she would participate in cultural events, festivals, and initiatives that showcase Eswatini’s heritage.

This includes representing Eswatini at international events, engaging in cultural exchange programmes, and highlighting the country’s unique customs and traditions on a global stage. My role serves as a platform to raise awareness about Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage and foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the country’s unique identity.

Talking to Eswatini Creativity Platform Director Nerville Johnson, he said, “We are very happy about the title that Noncedo brought home. It is one achievement that we could put on record, especially since we did not expect it. We hope that this will motivate and inspire other models to try their best in the industry, especially in the competitions to come.”

Johnson said she looked forward to more challenges ahead, and lastly, they wanted to announce that the official crowning will be at our indigenous African music festival event on May 18. “Congratulations to Noncedo Mamba as an agency and Emaswati we are proud of you,” Johnson said.

Mamba concluded by thanking a few people who played a role in her journey. “I would like to thank my family for supporting me: my national director, Neville Johnson, Mbalenhle Manana, TME Director; my mentor, Sidumo Ngwenya, a teacher at Ekudvwaleni High School; Zama Khumalo; Nomfundo Shongwe; and my fellow EmaSwati for their endless support and encouragement.”
