MBABANE – Momo Cup fans are in for a treat as last year’s Momo Cup finalists will be repeated next month. On 8 October 2023, Nsingizini Hotspurs will face Moneni Pirates in a highly anticipated match at Mavuso Sports Stadium.
Last year, Nsingizini Hotspurs were able to beat Moneni Pirates in the finals to become champions of the tournament. This year, the two teams will go head to head once again in the semi’s to see who will qualify for the finals.
The other semi-final match will see new comers Lozitha Spurs clash with Capital City Giants Mbabane Swallows FC. Fans should expect an exciting game from these teams as they battle it out for a spot in the finals.
About 6000 tickets will be printed for the semi-finals match and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Admission at the gate will be E60 while Momo Pay users can enjoy a discounted rate of E50.
“We want to ensure that the ticketing process runs smoothly and there are no confusions. All tickets will be verified perfectly on the day to avoid any issues,” says the Premier League of Eswatini chief executive officer Mr Kenneth Makhanya.
The first game will commence at 0900 hours, and gates will be open at 0700 hours. Can Nsingizini Hotspurs defend their Momo Cup title or will Moneni Pirates seek revenge? Fans will have to wait and see.
