When asked about the meaning behind the theme of the exhibition, he said, “Anxiety is a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general. Absurdism is the belief that human beings exist in a purposeless, chaotic universe.”

He went on to say that the exhibition was an expression of these themes. Three paintings have been sold so far. The artist revealed that his passion for painting started back in high school in 2014. He said, “The night was a resounding success, an enchanting exhibition, and all those who witnessed it were in awe.

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening. If you missed it, you have two weeks to experience it.”

When asked about the comparison of the two exhibitions, he said that with the first one, he did not know much about promoting before the actual event. “I was happy with my debut exhibition. It was intimate. It was not as packed as the last one. But I learned a lot. On Saturday, a lot of people came to support me, and I was really happy with the support.”

Ngcaphalala said that he not only does oil paintings but also pen drawings. “Oil painting requires skill. It takes longer to dry as it is not water-based. Usually, vanish is used over time to protect its durability.”

It is worth mentioning that his oil paintings are invigorating, consuming, and transport one to another realm. The artist shared that art is now growing in the country as people love to find the voice of expression and communication.
