…. Hints on an all-female band for Eswatini

MBABANE– Ever since Platinum Concepts announced new twists in this year’s episode of ‘An Evening With Zwile’
More and more interesting factors have been added to the event scheduled for The George Hotel on May 13, 2023 the event stands to bring bigger and better for fun lovers this year.
Having announced comedy as the new addition, the team behind the event has also announced their interest in women’s empowerment, which they did by adding a woman to the list of acts for the night.
The main attraction of the event Zwile Bhembe said: “ I’m one person who strongly believes in Black Girl Power. So please bring your girl child, bring your Cousins, Sisters, Mothers and Grandmothers, let them witness Sebaga at my show, to all females out there. It is possible, I believe we could have a female band in Eswatini too. Please come through,”
Meanwhile when announcing all the new twists to the event, Platinum Concepts’ Khulekani ‘Karly B’ Mamba said the night was going to be bigger and better as they have added new concepts to give the audience a better ambiance.
“An Evening with Zwile is a two-hour live-in-concert musical experience specially curated for the mature at heart by Eswatini’s renowned Saxophone player, Zwile Bhembe. He is accompanied by a host of talented musicians,” he said.
In addition to that, he said the concept came to life in the thick of COVID-19 in 2021 and has been presented as an annual experience since then.
“The previous two episodes were strictly musical experiences held at The George Hotel and The Happy Valley Hotel and were both sold-out experiences, leaving the audience amazed.
“We are excited to announce Mdura as our host this year, adding a touch of comedy to the already existing musical experience,” he said in addition.
Worth noting, is that Zwile Bhembe is an award-winning saxophonist and has become internationally acclaimed with artists like Ami Faku and Sjava endorsing him on their social media pages.
