LOBAMBA – 99 per cent complete!
Minister of Public Works and Transport Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe today revealed that the newly constructed interchange road by the Manzini Golf Course is near completion, with about one per cent of the scope of work remaining. The minister revealed this when speaking to the ministry’s oversight committee at the House of Assembly at Lobamba.
The minister also spoke about the progress about the feasibility study and designs of a bypass road in Manzini.
“As we have seen, the road from the airport is very good and open. However when you get to the town in Manzini, things start to get cluttered and a bit difficult to pass. This ends when you get to Ka-Khoza, all the way to the Ngwenya border,” noted the minister.
“We are reporting that these designs are now complete. We are now looking into procuring funds so that we can make the road breathable,” said the minister.
He went on to thank the parliament and the House of Assembly for their prompt deliberation on the Roads Authority Bill which seeks to establish an independent body to work on the development of roads under the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
