MBABANE– Making history again.

Award-winning Hip Hop rapper, Originelle has been on the EBIS top 20 charts for 15 weeks for her song ‘Sunday’.

The song was released on May 27, 2023. It has since made history by being the longest-charting song once again, as it was in January this year on Eswatini Broadcasting Information Survives (EBIS2) top 20 charts.

The song by Oriiginelle, real name Makhosazana Thwala, is a scenic trip of melodies and trippy percussions laced in suave lyrics and ambiance that is bound to get you in your ‘feels’.

The mix of vocals in symbiosis with the beat further attests to Oriiginelle’s evolution from ‘rapper’ to artist, which she has beautifully captured on ‘Sunday’.

In the top 20 charts, the show is presented by the popular double impact team of Bongani ‘Bobo’ Dlamini and Bongani ‘Tizalami’ Dube.

The show marks big opportunities for an artist, manager, music business entrepreneur and the artist body.

Charts can turn music from an under- the- radar creation into an acclaimed piece of art, thanks to plays on radio airplay stations, social media rankings, digital downloads, and streams on music streaming.

Worth noting is that this comes shortly after the rapper, who has been hailed by Silkour and The Game as the best, got an increased number of listeners on her Spotify account. She said all this was God’s work.

“Thank you so much for always showing love and supporting me on this journey,” said the rapper.

In addition, she revealed that the song was produced by Bophelo ‘SoduhBeats’ Letsika, and mixed and mastered by LOSOUNDZ. Originelle also collaborated with photographer Ayanda ‘Ayo Captured’ Mkhabela who took amazing pictures for their rollout and artwork.

This was well complemented by Sigcino Mwelase’s keen eye for detail through creative direction.

In addition to everything when explaining her 2023 plans she said, new music was on the cards and new bigger projects were coming.

“I think my word for 2023 will be ‘gratitude’ because I missed out on so many great moments due to wanting to achieve so much. “I did not get to bask in my glory. 2022 was very busy but I only got through it all thanks to my team! Planning things out at the start of 2022 really did save us because in as much as we got thrown into the deep end from time to time, we had already.” She said.
