ORPHAN’S HOUSE TO BE COMPLETED SOON

Mbabane – Sifundvo Mazibuko (17), an orphan and his sister will soon move into their two-roomed house nearing completion.

Sifundvo, who is a high school pupil, has been living in a terrible house at his maternal home. With the efforts of the traditional leadership, he was allocated land in the Mzizi community for the construction of his new home.

On Friday (May 24, 2024), Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Thulisile Dladla, together with Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini and Maseyisini Member of Parliament (MP) Nokuthula Dlamini, visited Sifundvo and to assess the progress of the house.

According to Deputy Prime Minister’s Office’s (DPMO) Communications Officer Zanele Dlamini, the house is built by the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) through the funding received by the DPMO amounting to E1.8 Million.

The amount will be used to build 18 houses, including Neighborhood Care Points (NCP) and Sifundvo’s house is one of them. The people that need the housing are identified by the Tinkhundla and MPs in the different communities around the country and the DPM’s office gets assistance from sponsors around the country,’ Dlamini added.

Dlamini also made an appeal for more donors and organisations in Eswatini to contribute to such initiatives emphasizing that Government can only do so much with limited budget.
