MBABANE – As Hilton Garden Inn celebrates its five-year anniversary, it has employed over 100 Emaswati with a 50.5 percent females-to-male ratio.
This was disclosed by the Vice President, Operations A & IQ Andreas Lackner today (Friday, May 17, 2024) during the celebrations held at the venue. He said they were pleased that they continued to be a shining beacon of hospitality.
“We are pleased to celebrate five years of operations in Eswatini. We are proud of the legacy of excellence and destination stewardship we continue to provide our guests, team members, the local community, and our owners. Hilton Garden Inn Mbabane continues to be a shining beacon of hospitality, employing more than 100 Swazi citizens whilst also driving greater inclusion with a 50.5 persent female-to-male ratio. We look forward to continuing this meaningful work with our key stakeholders,” Lackner said.
He further stated that the hotel fosters collaborations between local tertiary institutions, exemplified by the signing of a Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) and Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) to train young people to pursue careers in hospitality.
He said through these partnerships, the hotel has trained 65 students and on boarded more than 20 to work across various departments on the premises.
