MBABANE – MTN FinTech Chief Executive Officer Sam Shongwe has launched a MoMoPay Promo in collaboration with OK Foods and Pick n Pay.
Customers making MoMo payments of E250 or more will win E500 cash prizes. The promotion will run for 3 months and each week will have 25 winners.
Shongwe said he was pleased to be convening this MoMoPay promotion where 25 emaSwati will stand a chance to win E500 weekly just by buying and paying with MoMo groceries of E250 and more with OK Foods who have proven to be avid believers of the MoMo Pay product.
“I imagine that this is the result of the benefit OK is deriving from the use of MoMo pay. Because MoMo pay is a cashless payment system, retailers also ride on the convenience and safety attached to MoMo,” he said.
In addition to that, he said customers equally enjoy the same value and encouraged customers to take advantage of the MoMo Pay promo at OK and all the other participating retailers.
“We can all agree ladies and gentlemen, muhle kakhulu Momo. As we launch our MoMo Pay promotion with OK Foods today, we anticipate an even bigger uptake from our over 600 000 active MoMo customers. Beyond MoMo Pay, MTN Fintech has lofty and audacious plans for Emaswati, driving convenience which sits at the core of strategy,” said Shongwe.
Just last week MTN officially launched the MoMo Home Affairs payment platform which equally brings much-needed relief for Emaswati, saving time, money and effort towards receiving government services.
The MoMo Pay promo is another demonstration of their commitment towards innovating for the benefit of our customers, according to Shongwe.
“We appreciate all our partners for trusting MoMo as a preferred mode of payment for the shops and the long-standing relationship. Once again, we invite customers to participate and stand to win great prizes. This month’s participating shops include OK Foods, PicknPay, PickYours (Mhlume), Jumbo (Nhlangano), and Longfield Supermarket (Sitek)-covering the whole of Eswatini with the hope to give all eMaswati a chance at this wonderful promotion,” he said.
