MBABANE – Get lost in the view overlooking the highway and enjoy the ambience as you enjoy your meal with great company.
Neatly tucked away at Sandla, the Palm View Lounge offers premium relaxation to hang out with friends and family while overlooking the beautiful scenery of Mbabane.
The lounge opened its doors to the public over the festive season on December 16 last year. It has already amassed its own clientele, who are now becoming regulars to enjoy the scrumptious meals. Some of the dishes include the traditional cooked inhloko, pap, fish, and pork. The shisanyama (braai meat), however, is what it is most famous for, as even the community visits the place for the flame-grilled meat, mainly beef, chicken, vors, pork, and more.
According to one of the managers of the newly established place, Gugu Shongwe shared with this publication that even though the place is fairly new, it is doing quite well. She also shared that they will be opening the internet café next month for the public to use, as well as for their customers to send a quick email or surf the net.
When asked if they host parties at the venue, she said, “We are open to even corporate parties, family gatherings, and people who just want to gather as a group and have fun. Our lounge is also available for bookings, and patrons are also welcome to come with their own alcoholic drinks, “said Shongwe.
She also said that since opening its doors, they have hosted two shows where the legendary R&B DJ DD Cool was on the decks and rocked the place on December 23 and 24. Shongwe also revealed that they will be officially opening the place very soon, and the public should be on the lookout.
The Palm View Lounge is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, it operates from and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
