… The two discuss Korea-Africa Summit

MBABANE– The Eswatini Premier’s trip to Korea is already on the roll.
Barely a day after meeting the Mayor of the City of Busan, His Worship Park Heong-Joon, His Excellency, the Right Honourable Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini has met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Han Duck-Soo.
During the great meeting, they discussed several matters of cooperation between the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of Korea.
According to Government Spokesperson Alpheus Nxumalo, during discussions held at the South Korean Prime Minister’s residence, the two Prime Ministers discussed, among other things, the Korea-Africa Summit to be hosted by the Republic of Korea in 2024.
“The two Prime Ministers further expressed the desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as discussed the trade and development cooperation that already exists between Eswatini and the Republic of Korea. Also discussed was the development assistance given to Eswatini by the Republic of Korea.
“This includes areas such as human resource support, support to essential services, and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, among others. Other topics discussed were economic cooperation, customs capacity building, agricultural cooperation, IT support, and tourism, amongst others,” said Nxumalo.
IT stands for Information and Technology.
At least USD 5 million has been given to Eswatini by Korea on a concessional basis. His Excellency Cleopas Sipho Dlamini pledged Eswatini’s continued support to the Republic of Korea in multilateral forums.
