MBABANE– It is a busy time for the Eswatini Premier.

Barely a few hours after attending the official opening of the last session of the 11th Parliament, His Excellency Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini has jetted out of the country.

This is according to a statement that was sent out by Eswatini Government Spokesperson Alpheus Nxumalo.

The Government Spokesperson said the PM has left the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to represent His Majesty King Mswati III and the Nation at the 36th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union to be held on February 18 and February 19, 2023.

“The Assembly will discuss, hear and consider a number of reports on issues affecting the African continent, including the state of peace and security in Africa as well as a progress report on the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), among others,” briefly explained Nxumalo. His Excellency is expected back home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
