MBABANE– Already at work!
This is the county’s Prime Minister, His Excellency Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini, who upon jetting out of the country on Tuesday for the Republic of Korea, has visited the Port City of Busan, on invitation by the Mayor of Busan, His Worship Park Heong-Joon.
His Excellency is currently in the Republic of Korea for a working visit, on invitation by Prime Minister His Excellency Han Duck-soo.
During the visit to Busan, the Eswatini Premier toured current and prospective sites for the bid by the City of Busan to host the World Expo 2030.
According to Government Spokesperson Alpheus Nxumalo, the tour showcased the development drive by Busan to transform from an industrial city to one of the most modern and eco-friendly cities in the world and deliver an excellent event.
“In his remarks, Mayor Heong-Joon emphasised the good relationship that exists between the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Eswatini. He indicated his desire to see this relationship grow.
“In return, His Excellency Cleopas Sipho Dlamini also spoke of the relations that the two countries have enjoyed since 1968. His Excellency emphasised the keenness of Eswatini to learn from Korea and Busan; lessons gleaned over the past half-century,” said Nxumalo.
Nxumalo further detailed that His Excellency is accompanied by the Minister of Tinkhundla and Administration, Honourable David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala and other senior Government Officials.“He is also expected to meet with the South Korean Prime Minister in the capital city of Seoul, the President of the Korea-Africa Foundation and the Chancellor of the Jeonju Education University, among others.”
