MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) hosted a workshop yesterday in collaboration with crime prevention counselors.
According to the Facebook page of the REPS, the workshop was a dynamic and productive event, and the police service is proud to be working with dedicated counselors and other stakeholders to make a difference in Eswatini. The aim of the collaboration was to create a safer, more secure environment for everyone in the country.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of collaboration and partnership in preventing and addressing crime. Through discussions and shared experiences, it was clear that the role of crime prevention counselors in identifying and mitigating risk factors is essential to keeping communities safe.
By working together, these counselors can provide valuable support and guidance to those who may be at risk of engaging in criminal activity. In addition, they can play a role in developing and implementing strategies to address the root causes of crime and help create a more peaceful society.
The role of crime prevention is a fundamental part of the REPS’ mission to keep communities safe. By proactively addressing the root causes of crime and working with individuals at risk of engaging in criminal activity, the police service can reduce the incidence of crime and create safer, more peaceful communities.
Prevention can take many forms, such as increasing community awareness of crime risks, working with at-risk youth, and collaborating with community leaders and organisations to address underlying causes of crime. These efforts are critical to achieving the police service’s goals and ensuring that people are safe.
Strengthening partnerships between the REPS and crime prevention counselors is key to creating a comprehensive approach to crime prevention. Together, these two groups can create a more effective strategy for addressing crime and reducing its impact on society. The goal is to foster a safer, more secure environment for all by combining the knowledge and resources of both groups.
