MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service plea for protection and peace during the upcoming Easter holiday season through prayer.
In anticipation of the Easter holidays, the Royal Eswatini Police Service held a special prayer service at the Police Headquarters today. Police officers from various departments came together to pray for a peaceful and safe holiday season.
According information posted on the Royal Eswatini Police Service’s Facebook page, the prayer service was held in conjunction with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s recently launched Easter Holiday Awareness Campaign.
The campaign, which emphasised the importance of road safety, was launched by the Minister for Public Works and Transport Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, and included stakeholders from various organisations. The prayer service was seen as a way to reinforce the message of road safety and to encourage all citizens to be mindful of their safety during the holidays.
Acting National Commissioner of Police Lydia Dlamini felt it was important to provide special support for police officers working on the front lines over the Easter season. Through the Police Chaplaincy Unit, a prayer service was organised to uplift and encourage police officers. The prayer service, which was solemn yet powerful, saw police officers come together to pray for safety, strength, and resilience for all officers who would be working tirelessly over the busy holiday period. The service was seen as a valuable source of support and strength for the police force.
It is stated that atmosphere at the Police Headquarters parking lot was filled with prayer and reflection as the Acting National Commissioner, Lydia Dlamini, led the police force in a moment of unity and togetherness. The heartfelt plea for protection and peace throughout the holiday season brought comfort and strength to police officers who would be working tirelessly during this time. The call to make the roads safe for everyone was a powerful reminder of the shared responsibility to create a safe and peaceful environment for all.
