MBABANE – In a joint effort to prevent accidents, the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) teamed up with schools and churches to promote safety on the roads.
According to information on REPS Facebook page, the traffic police officers visited schools and churches across the country to raise awareness about road safety. During these visits, the officers spoke to students and congregations about important safety measures and precautions.
These included topics such as the importance of wearing seatbelts, obeying speed limits, and being aware of other vehicles on the road. The officers encouraged everyone to play their part in making the roads of Eswatini safer.
It is stated that the REPS has expressed its gratitude to the local schools and BSA Training Centre for their support in the accident prevention campaign. REPS is also grateful to the church bodies that have incorporated accident prevention messages into their sermons and teachings, helping to raise awareness of road safety among people of all ages. REPS hope that this will lead to a reduction in accidents and a safer environment for everyone.
REPS have applauded the Traffic Policing Department for its efforts in facilitating the Accident Prevention Campaign. The department’s professionalism and passion for promoting safety on the roads has been evident in every interaction, and has made a positive impact on road safety.
