MBABANE – His Majesty King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini of the Zulu nation has ordered Emaswati and Zulus to preserve culture and traditions in order to maintain identities.

King Misuzulu said this today (Tuesday, May 28, 2024) during the dispersing of Emabutfo, after they had concluded the harvesting of the Royal fields. This happened at Ngabezweni Royal Residence.

When addressing Libutfo, King Misuzulu said the two nations were respected because of their culture and tradition, he visited Eswatini to remind Emaswati about the importance of preserving such traditions.

He then talked about the importance of maintaining the good relations that the two nations have enjoyed for about two centuries now. He said these relations were also maintained by his father, His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini ka Bhekuzulu.

According to King Misuzulu, King Zwelithini maintained the relations together with His Majesty King Mswati III and His Majesty King Sobhuza II. King Misuzulu even stated that he was a product of the good relations that existed between the two nations.

It is known that King Misuzulu is a son to Princess Mantfombi, who was born by King Sobhuza. Princess Mantfombi ended up becoming one of the Queens of the AmaZulu nation in 1977. King Misuzulu stated that these relations started when Princess Tsandzile, who was born by King Somhlolo (King Sobhuza I) went to become a Queen to King Shaka, who ruled the AmaZulu nation between 1816 and 1828.

King Misuzulu promised to keep the relations between these two countries going, as his father and other Kings did before.
