MBABANE – President of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has landed in the country.
Her Excellency President Tsai Ing-wen was met by Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini earlier this afternoon after landing at the King Mswati III International Airport. The Prime Minister and the President arrived just in time to join Their Majesties for the 55/55 Celebrations Gala at Mandvulo Hall tonight.
The Prime Minister had just returned from the inauguration of Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa where he was representing His Majesty King Mswati III.
Her Excellency President Tsai Ing-wen is expected to join His Majesty King Mswati III to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to further advance the relationship between the two countries.
Her Excellency President Tsai Ing-wen is expected to join Their Majesties and Emaswati to celebrate 55 years of independence as well as His Majesty the King’s 55th birthday at Somhlolo National Stadium tomorrow.
President Tsai Ing-wen is expected to be in the country for three days of diplomatic engagements.
