MBABANE: The Prime Minister, Cleopas Sipho Dlamini, returned successfully from his trips to Malawi and Mozambique today. The Prime Minister arrived this afternoon after returning from the SADC Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government, which was primarily held in Lilongwe, Malawi.
After the summit ended, the delegates proceeded to Mozambique to further review the situation relating to the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM). The Mission was deployed to fight terrorism and extremist violence in the coastal SADC country.
“Eswatini stands in solidarity with the Government and the people of Mozambique, and we support all plans prepared for the preservation of peace and security in the Republic and the SADC region as a collective.”, declared the Prime Minister in his speech upon returning.
“We believe the next few months are critical to create a conducive environment for humanitarian actions that will encourage voluntary return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and normalising life as it was and build better.”
