MBABANE – The Youth African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is excited to introduce Zanele Lulane as one of our 2024 Mandela Washington Fellows!
According to information sourced from the website of the US Embassy in Eswatini, Lulane will be studying Leadership in Public Management at Arizona State University.
Lulane has been working in the water sector in Eswatini for two years. She currently holds the position of projects officer at the Joint River Basin Authorities. In her current role, Lulane supervises and provides assistance for institutional projects and tasks related to the implementation of national and water sector policies.
Apart from her knowledge and experience in the water sector, Lulane is dedicated to mentoring rural youth. She has collaborated with numerous organizations and young individuals, providing project assistance and career advice.
Lulane holds a master’s degree in advanced water management and an undergraduate degree in agricultural and bio systems engineering. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Lulane intends to continue working in the water sector in Eswatini, promoting equitable access to water and youth participation in national water resource management.
