MBABANE – Minister of Public Service Mabulala Maseko says Government is making considerable investment into building capacity within the Public Service to ensure necessary transformation towards a Culture of Excellence and value to the Nation. Minister Maseko has been speaking during the commemoration of UN Public Service Day in Mbabane this morning.

“Considerable investment is currently underway to build capacity and ensuring that public services undergo the transformation that will ensure value and virtue is maintained to the community,” said Minister Maseko.

“Government’s mission is to provide an enabling environment that facilitates efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of public services to meet the diverse needs of the people of the Kingdom of Eswatini,” continued Minister Maseko.

UNDP Resident Rep Rose Ssebatindira (as represented UNDP Deputy Resident Rep Jane Yeboah) said, “As civil servants, our primary role is to serve the population- bringing quality public goods to the doorsteps of all people such that no one is left behind. However, we need constant engagement with our constituents to understand their needs, concerns and aspirations. Only then can we truly be fit for purpose, enjoy basic rights and attain the SDGs.”
